It consists of three rods and a number of disks of different sizes, which can slide onto any rod. The puzzle starts with the disks in a neat stack in ascending order of size on one rod, with the smallest at the top.

The objective of the puzzle is to move the entire stack to another rod, following the following simple rules:

1. No larger disk may be placed on top of a smaller disk.
2. Only one disk may be moved at a time.
3. You move by taking the upper disk from one of the stacks and placing it on top of an empty rod or another stack.

The Tower of Brahma Puzzle (also called the Tower of Hanoi or Lucas’ Tower) is a mathematical game.
