The pattern depicts the shoulders and head of a kangaroo. Kangaroos have large, powerful hind legs and large feet adapted for leaping. They use their long muscular tail for balance. Like most marsupials, female kangaroos have a pouch called a marsupium in which their babies complete postnatal development. There are an estimated 34.3 million kangaroos living in Australia.<\/p>\n
